Facebook Integration

MKCast Live can connect an authorized Facebook account and its eligible Pages through Meta’s official authorization process.

Information requested

Depending on the features enabled and permissions approved by Meta, MKCast Live may request access to identify Pages you manage, publish live-stream status, send a live program to a selected Page, and read live comments or reactions for display in the MKCast Live console.

How authorization works

  1. You choose Facebook under Stream Destinations.
  2. MKCast Live opens Meta’s secure login and authorization page.
  3. You sign in directly with Facebook and choose the permissions and Pages to allow.
  4. Meta returns you to MKCast Live after authorization.
  5. You select the Page that should receive the broadcast.

MKCast Live does not receive or store your Facebook password. You may disconnect Facebook in MKCast Live and remove the app through Facebook’s Apps and Websites settings.

Comments and reactions

When authorized and supported, MKCast Live may retrieve engagement associated with the active live video so the producer can monitor audience comments and reactions. MKCast Live will not publish a reply or other content unless the operator performs that action.

Removing access

Disconnect the destination in MKCast Live, remove MKCast Live from Facebook Apps and Websites, or submit a request through the User Data Deletion page.
